We offer the TUL GL Series in two precision tip sizes: 0.5mm fine point and 0.7mm medium point. The fine point is ideal for detailed annotations, margin notes, and tight handwriting, while the medium point provides bolder lines that stand out on forms, charts, and documents that need to be read at a distance. Both sizes use the same quick-dry gel ink formula and retractable mechanism.
Each TUL gel refill cartridge delivers approximately 800 meters of continuous writing, which translates to roughly 60 pages of standard note-taking or 40-50 pages of denser text. Actual mileage varies based on writing pressure and line density. When the cartridge runs low, you can see the remaining ink level through the transparent barrel and swap in a fresh refill without replacing the entire pen.
Our gel ink formula is engineered to dry within 3-5 seconds on most paper types, which minimizes smudging even for left-handed writers. The ink bonds quickly to cellulose fibers and resists feathering on standard copy paper. On thin notebook paper, the TUL GL Series produces minimal ghosting compared to liquid rollerball inks. Coated or glossy paper may require an extra second or two of dry time.
The GL Series is fully refillable. Simply unscrew the barrel tip, remove the spent cartridge, and press in a new TUL gel refill until it clicks into place. We offer refill cartridges in black, blue, red, and green ink, sold individually or in 3-packs. Using refills extends the life of the pen barrel and reduces waste compared to disposable pens.

Gel ink also tends to feel smoother on textured paper because the ink doesn’t rely on a rolling ball pressing into the paper surface. The tradeoff is slightly longer dry time compared to instant-dry ballpoint ink, but our quick-dry formula closes that gap significantly.
